Coaching Players with ADHD
Presented by Adult ADHD Coach Grant Burrows & Psychologist Narelle Clark

More kids than ever are living with ADHD—some are formally diagnosed and medicated, many are not. We’re becoming more aware of the unique challenges these young people face, including their increased vulnerability to mental health issues. As coaches and parents, we want to support them—and all young players—to feel confident, connected, and capable of becoming the best version of themselves.

But what does that support look like in our junior programs at South Barwon?

  • How can you tell which players might have ADHD traits?

  • Once you know, how do you structure training and game day to support them?

  • And what kind of connection or communication works best for kids with ADHD traits?

This practical, hands-on session will help coaches and parents better understand how to work with ADHD traits in a junior sport setting. Grant Burrows, an Adult ADHD Coach with four seasons of junior footy coaching at South Barwon under his belt, joins forces with psychologist Narelle Clark (the wife of Grant's longtime TM). Together, they combine professional insight with on the ground experience to give you real-world tools that will make a difference straight away.
